We represent only commercial fiction, namely women's fiction, cozy mysteries, and romances of all sub-genres. We negotiate with all the major publishers in North America and many of the smaller, specialized presses as well. We market subsidiary rights for our authors and have affiliations with sub-agents for film rights and translation rights internationally. In women's fiction, we are interested in a variety of projects of interest to women of all ages. We consider both light and serious stories, including coming of age stories, relationship stories, and family-oriented stories. We have a strong preference for stories featuring strong, independent women of all ages. Among romances, we handle everything from historical to contemporary, from traditional sweet romances to erotica, from light and funny to dark and gothic. We also include multicultural, paranormal, and fantasy romances, although not time-travel or inspirational stories. While we are primarily interested in single-title works, we will also consider talented series writers. We will consider only cozy mysteries (amateur sleuths with limited violence), provided the characters are believable and the plots fresh and well-constructed. We do NOT handle children's picture books, YA (Young Adult), science fiction, horror, thrillers, short stories, memoirs, screenplays or any non-fiction or self-help projects; so save your time and ours and please don't query us about these.
